The Kentucky Heritage Council has compiled statistics for all six of Kentucky's congressional districts that demonstrate the value of historic preservation to our Commonwealth.  This information is very important to present to our congressmen and senators--both in the Kentucky Legislature and in the US Congress.  Please share this information with your US Congress representatives and personalize it with your stories of the power of preservation in your community.  Click on the links below for more information. Preservation Kentucky received a Richard and Julia Moe grant in August to film educational shorts as part of the 2011 Historic Preservation Legislative Summit. Films include information about changes needed to the State Historic Preservation Tax Credit; the importance of the Main Street program to local communities across the state; and a great vignette on How to Lobby for preservation needs.  Click here to view these films.
